During the harsh days of the early European 15th century landscape there were many fears in the world. There was sickness that would kill millions of people. The constant threat of not having food or shelter. Then there was the biggest threat from criminal activity. Animal Criminal Activity.
The Bros discuss a wacky time when lawyers were paid to put on trial animals and in some cases defend the animals in a real courtroom. The animals ranged from Pigs, Chickens, Mules, Bulls and even Dolphins.
Even when given a gift of a moose one town was so scared of witchcraft they attacked the moose. Some towns would show animals mercy and just excommunicate them along with the insects.
One farce of a trial lasted 8 months. We explore how Lawyer Bob felt each day getting up to go to court to try and put an animal away for life.
